Scenes from a Grocery Store
An older couple was arguing in the grocery today, in plain sight. “Why would you even say that to me”, she said angrily to the husband at one point. It was so unseemly, ugly. I could tell that they were having difficulty even before they came into hearing range… something in their posture. It just struck me as distressing, this older couple who could not be civil, let alone loving after years of marriage. Loving-kindness and truth have met together; Righteousness and peace have kissed each other, Ps. 85. Come afresh to me Lord Jesus.
